On the occasion of Music Day, 21 June 2023, MAMbo will host Nuove Scritture. Art Music Concert, which was born from the collaboration between the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola ‘Incontri col Maestro’ and the Settore Musei Civici Bologna. On this occasion seven unpublished scores written by the students of Maestro Marco di Bari’s composition course will be presented, performed by the students of the Imola institution of high musical education.

The project, which combines contemporary music and chamber music, was born from the collaboration between the multidisciplinary and research activities active within the Imola Foundation, thanks to the contribution of Marco Di Bari (director of composition), Marco Zuccarini (director of chamber music), Lorenzo Fico (scientific director of degree courses), and professors Serena Carbone and Annalisa Cattani, as well as the student composers and performers involved.

On 21 June, on the first floor of the museum building amidst the works of the permanent collection, two performative moments will be held: the first at 5.00 p.m. and the second at 6.30 p.m. featuring the composers and students of the Imola Academy. All performances will be presented to the public.
