The Advanced Guitar Course is dedicated to students aged between 19 and 25. The aim of the course is to enable guitarists to face a concert career, through a deep knowledge of the guitarist literature (both solo and chamber music, other than solo with orchestra) with specific techniques and artistic skills.

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree
Attendance to the course is subject to passing the entrance exam by audition, with the following programme:
- a free choice piece by one composer among: Mauro Giuliani, Dioniso Aguado, Fernando Sor, Johann Kaspar Mertz, Giulio Regondi, Napoleòn Coste
- one Study by Heitor Villa-Lobos from “Douze Ètudes pour la guitare”
- a free choice program, to last between 30 and 40 minutes
In order to attend the following academic year of each course, it is mandatory to pass the annual passage exam, with the following programme:
- a recital program, drawn from two, to last between 45 and 50 minutes
- a concert for guitar and orchestra drawn from two
The drawing lots of recital and concert will take place two weeks before the beginning of the exam session. Students must accompany one or more concerts for guitar during their mates’ test, according with teacher’s directions.
Academic Diploma
At the end of the Three-year Course students can obtain their Diploma from the Academy by passing the final exam, whose program is the following:
- a recital to last 60-75 minutes. One-third of the timing may include pieces presented previously
- a concert for piano and orchestra will be drawn from two presented. One of the concerts can be chosen among those presented during the previous years.
The drawing lots of the concert will take place two weeks before the beginning of the exam session.
