Fabrizio Scilla

Born in 1996, he graduated with highest honors, cum laude
and honorable mention from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan and later continued his studies with high specialization courses held by M. Rocco Filippini at the W. Stauffer Academy in Cremona.
Relevant for his artistic development was then the meeting with Enrico Bronzi, under whose guidance he obtained his Master’s degree at the prestigious Mozarteum University of Salzburg.

A strong passion for the chamber and orchestral world was born right away, which led him to collaborate with prestigious orchestras such as the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, he was later Academist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and Assistant Principal cellist at the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.

Since 2021 he is 1 Solo Cellist of NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover and, also as principal cellist, he collaborates regularly with orchestras such as HR Symphonieorchester Frankfurt, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, LaFil Filarmonica in Milan, Accademia Musicale dell’Annunciata in Abbiategrasso, Milan Chamber Orchestra and many others.

Since his youth, he is a winner of numerous national and international competitions, including: Enrico Mainardi International Cello Competition, Francesco Geminiani competition, Umberto Micheli competition, Rancati mention, Concorso città di Giussano, Concorso città di Treviso, Concorso città di Stresa.

In addition to his interest in the orchestral repertoire, Fabrizio Scilla performs regularly as a soloist for several national and international festivals as well as for important concert societies, including Unione Musicale of Turin, Amici della Musica of Padua, Società dei concerti of Trieste, Lucca Classica and the Portogruaro Festival
