BORIS PETRUSHANKY

Born in Moscow, he was admitted to the Moscow Central Conservatory when he was only 8 years old. In 1964 the fifteen-years old pianist met one of the greatest musicians of our times: Heinrich Neuhaus, and he becomes his last pupil. After the prizes won at the different competitions– Leeds, 1969; Monaco, 1970; Moscow, 1971 – follows his victory at “Casagrande” contest in Terni in 1975, followed by an important concert tour. He was Professor at the Moscow’s Conservatory from 1975 to 1979, he held Masterclasses all over the world. He’s taught at Imola’s Accademia Pianistica since 1990.
