Vittorio Maggioli wins the Giuseppe Martucci International Prize of Novara
Another important recognition for the students of the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola: the prestigious Premio Internazionale Giuseppe Martucci di Novara was awarded to the student Vittorio Maggioli, during the final round on 20 October at the Auditorium Fratelli Olivieri.
The competition is open to young musical talents and encourages the expression of the participants’ artistic personality through a free programme that can also include their own compositions and jammings. Founded in 2015 by maestro Folco Perrino, the prize is promoted by the Associazione Amici della Musica Vittorio Cocito with the aim of enhancing young Italian pianists by promoting awareness of Giuseppe Martucci.
Born in Milan in 2005, Vittorio Maggioli began studying piano at the age of five; from the age of thirteen he has been refining his studies at the Imola Academy under the guidance of Boris Petrushansky. Winner of several national and international prizes, in 2022 he took part in the recording of Robert Schumann’s complete works made by the Imola Academy, performing the Six Intermezzos for piano op. 4 and the Piano Sonata No. 2 in G minor op. 22.
