Two prestigious prizes for the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola

The new academic year begins with two prestigious prizes won by the students of the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola, whose high educational value is being recognised once again. Ukrainian student of the Piano Academy Roman Lopatynskyi won the first prize in the 2024 edition of the George Enescu International Competition, one of the most important international events for young musicians. Lopatynskyi was also awarded the special Radu Lupu Award for the best interpretation of a George Enescu composition.

On the same days, in Sanremo, the Russian Piano Music International Competition awarded Edoardo Riganti Fulginei the second prize ex aequo, with first prize not awarded, and the special audience prize. The 19-year-old Umbrian, the first Italian in the competition’s history to reach the finals, won the prestigious award by performing Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 Op. 18.
