Recording debut for Tommaso Boggian
Tommaso Boggian, a student pianist at the Fondazione Accademia di Imola under the guidance of Alessandro Taverna, makes his recording debut with the publication of a CD with the magazine Suonare News, on newsstands.
Boggian has been awarded prizes in several national and international piano competitions, including ‘Premio Venezia’, ‘Bèla Bartòk-Vienna’ and ‘Radovljica International Piano Competition’.
The debut programme was extraordinary: Sonata No. 3 K 281 in B flat major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Scherzo No. 4 op. 54 in E major and Barcarolle op. 60 in F sharp major by Fryderyk Chopin, the Six Pieces for Piano P 044 by Ottorino Respighi and Sonata No. 2 op. 36 in B flat minor (original 1913) by Sergei Rachmaninov.
‘My wholeheartedly thank go to the Accademia Chigiana, the Cidim – Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica and the editorial staff of Suonare News for publishing my interview and my very first studio CD, recorded at the Fazioli Concert-Hall with the assistance of the talented Federico Furlanetto. A big thanks also goes to my maestro Alessandro Taverna who, during our time at the Fondazione Accademia di Imola, believed in me and made me grow a lot as a pianist and as a person!’
The recording project and its spreading are part of the promotion of young talents carried out by the Imola Academy, in collaboration with Cidim and the Accademia Chigiana of Siena.
