Inauguration of the academic year of Università Aperta | Recital by Anastasia Fioravanti

The Fondazione Internazionale Accademia di Imola is going to take part in the opening of the academic year of Università Aperta, hosting the event at Sala “Mariele Ventre” in Palazzo Monsignani, with a recital by pianist Anastasia Fioravanti.

On Sunday 13th October at 4.30 p.m., the academic year of Università Aperta will open with a special event entitled ‘Young notes for the new academic year’, at the headquarters of the Accademia Internazionale di Imola in Palazzo Monsignani. After the public presentation of the courses that Università Aperta has planned for its 1,200 members for the year 2024-2025, pianist Anastasia Fioravanti will hold a recital with music by Haydn and Chopin. The Academy CEO Angela Maria Gidaro, who will be in charge of the introduction, declares: ‘We are always pleased and enthusiastic about participating in the social and cultural initiatives of the city of Imola, allowing art music and our young musicians to bear witness to the beauty of research, study and commitment in sharing and passing-on the highest values of the cultural heritage we have inherited. Good society starts with sharing all this and what better context than the inauguration of the courses of Università Aperta, which we thank for the invitation in the person of the President Sandra Zanardi’.

The musical programme opens with the Sonata in D major Hob. XVI:37 by Franz Joseph Haydn: published in 1780 in a collection of six sonatas dedicated to his sisters Katharina and Marianna Auenbrugger. This is followed by Fryderyk Chopin’s Andante spianato and Grande polacca brillante op. 22, composed between 1830 and 1835. ‘All Chopin’s compositions,’ Liszt wrote, ‘must be played with that accentuated, prosodic hesitancy and with that softness, the reason for which is difficult to reveal when one has not had the opportunity to hear it often. Chopin seemed concerned about showing his manner of playing, especially to communicate it to his compatriots to whom he, more than to others, wished to convey the inner warmth of his emotion’.

Born in 2001, Anastasia Fioravanti graduated from the Conservatorio di Fermo and continued her training at the Accademia Pianistica di Recanati with Lorenzo Di Bella. After several masterclasses and musical experiences with Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini and after graduating in harpsichord at the Conservatorio di Bologna under the guidance of Maria Luisa Baldassarri, she enrolled in the classes of Igor Roma and André Gallo at the Accademia di Imola, where she is currently in her final year.
