Imola Summer Music Academy and Festival 2021 1 to 30 July

From 1 to 30 July 2021 the Imola International Academy Foundation ‘Incontri con il Maestro’ presents the tenth edition of its Imola Summer Music Academy and Festival, event organized in collaboration with Comune of Imola and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Emilia Romagna Region and the Cassa di Risparmio di Imola Foundation.

The event restarts in its dual characteristic core, Academy and Festival, capable of combining the highest musical teaching with the production of live concerts. A sign of resumption of activities, after Covid lockdown and restrictions, that will all take place in presence with the utmost attention to safety for the academic community and for the public.

The Master Classes will be animated by the prestigious Professors of the eight Academies of the Imola Foundation: Piano, Violin, Cello, Viola, Flute, Guitar, Chamber Music, Composition as well as the Conducting course. The Master Classes will be open to internal and external students, giving young talents the opportunity to get to know the Imola Academy up close. Enrollment in Master Class are open from May 1st to June 10th.

A Season of Concerts will animate the Summer Festival, with the prestigious Professors of the Academies as protagonists on stage, together with our young talents, in a combination that projects the new generations into the qualified scenario of national and international concerts. The inauguration on 5 July is entrusted to Boris Belkin who will perform with the Youth Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Marco Boni. Access to the concerts will be possible through free booking and preventive collection of the entrance ticket. Places are limited due to government regulations regarding the management of the Covid pandemic. More information on the location of the concerts and how to participate will be disclosed shortly.
