Emanuele Schillaci at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro
The opening of the academic year of the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola is enhanced by other prestigious awards.
Emanuele Schillaci, pupil guitarist of the Teachers Giovanni Puddu and Arturo Tallini who brilliantly graduated with honours from the Guitar Master’s Degree Course at the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale ‘Incontri col Maestro’ of Imola, will take part in two important events at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), as a part of the project ‘Young musical talents in the world’, the next 10th and 11th November.
Emanuele Schillaci will hold both a masterclass and a concert at the prestigious Brazilian university. These events are part of the project resulted from the synergy among Accademia Chigiana, Fondazione Accademia Internazionale ‘Incontri col Maestro’ of Imola and CIDIM Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica, whose aim is to promote Italian artistic talents worldwide, encouraging them to enter the national and internation music word.
A former graduate of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, today critics consider Schillaci to be ‘the least academic guitar virtuoso among those of classical inspiration’.
