Concerto del Mare

On Sunday 1st December, Teatro Ebe Stignani in Imola will host the ‘Concerto del Mare’, a project where boats wood becomes music to touch hearts and souls.

The evening starts at 9 with ‘Orazione’, taken from Paolo Rumiz’s ‘Memoria del legno’, with the Piccola Orchestra dei Popoli. At 9:30 the event goes on with ‘Il Violino del Mare’: the Fondazione Accademia di Imola Trio De Feo and Trio David will play sea instruments, made of migrants’ boats wood, thanks to the work of the lutherie workshop of Opera prison in Milan and Secondigliano prison in Naples. The programme includes Nino Rota’s Trio for clarinet, cello and piano, played by Trio De Feo: Davide De Feo on clarinet, the cellist Alessandro De Feo and the pianist Gabriele De Feo. Trio David, consisted of Gloria Santarelli on violin, Chiara Mazzocchi on viola and the cellist Tommaso Castellano, will play the Trio for Strings by Jean Cras.

The evening is part of the project ‘Senza distinzione alcuna. Percorsi di uguaglianza e equità’ organised by the Municipality of Imola – Equal Opportunities and Environment Department.

The concert is free of charge and admission is open subject to availability.
